I was one of the residents who played a part in saving these kangaroos and I am dam proud of it too! I can assure you as a local to them that they are far from starving and they do not multiply as popular belief would have it. They produce 1 Joey per year and only 50% of them survive.
As far as pissing off anyone because they were kangaroos and not cows, had they been cows, I would still have done everything I could have done to save them too.
I expect some critisism back going by a lot of these comments that Ive read but save your typing for someone else coz Im not interested in what anti animal of any species has to say.
Good bye!

I totally agree with everything you said, but in my course, where I'm learning how to hand raise orphaned joeys, she said female Roos never actually go without having a joey. They have two teats, with one they're feeding their at foot joey, and with the other they're feeding their pinkie? When the pinkie grows up, and becomes at foot, she'll have another joey, and so on?

And the above post is not rude.  I'm afraid it reeks of 'the best form of defence is attack'.  Sadly many of you don't have a clue and neither are you willing to listen to a balance debate or any opinion that does not concur with your mainstream opinion on this website forum.  Anyways cheers for now.
Okay, I can't help it.

Are you referring to my post? If so, how was my post rude? I simply said you're being rude (which you are) You have continuingly insulted people here, by pretty much calling them clueless. Which you just did again!

As for Wolfs post. She just sounds frustrated with your rude posts.

So you're right and everyone one else is wrong, yeah? Who said we're not listening to your opinion? WE ARE! We simply disagree with it. Is that wrong? You're the one that seems unwilling to listen or accept other peoples views and opinions.

People here believe that shooting them isn't the best and only solution, like you and others do. Is that wrong? Everytime someone puts forward an opinion or solution, you just shoot them down and belittle that person.

I sent you a friend request a day or so ago, as I was interested in hearing from someone with completely different views on things. Still haven't accepted. So either you haven't seen it (which I doubt) Or you don't wish to hear from people with different opinions. So please don't try to make out we're the unwilling ones!

Oh boohoo Nathan.  You won't check this thread again because I dare to question the stance that AA takes on Kangaroo culling.  Take a teaspoon of cement and toughen up mate.
No, I don't mind if you have a different opinion on ANY topic. I just can't stand your rudeness!

Nathan thank you for sending me a friend request.  To be perfectly honest I did not realize.  There are some things on this forum that I do not 'pick up' on and that must be one of them.  I am very happy to accept your friend request.  With regard to this kangaroo issue I do get most frustrated with some of the absurd suggestions made with regard to the control of their population.  I have lived on the land all of my life and I have lived with the roo all of my life so I do know a fair bit about them and the incredibly increase in their population.1.  It is not remotely feasible to relocat them. 2.  They are not and never will be a threatened species. 3.  Noone, even we rural 'bastards' wants to see the complete demise of the roo but mark my words it will NEVER happen, we on the land have made it far too good for them.  4.  As I have said before there will always be meat eaters and they will always be the majority of the population so there has to be balance struck.  You can beat your head against a brick wall all you like but that is how it is so AA needs to accept that and work with it or get most people offside and achieve very little.
I am pleased that you at least, Nathan, would like to hear another side to some of the debates on this forum.  Cheers

Wolf you would do well to remember that 'swearing is an outward expression of inward stupidity'.  Take a chill pill and speak with control next time.  I am sure you are a most intelligent young woman.

The people I know who swear the most tend to have the widest vocabularies and the kind of person who says swearing is a sign of a poor vocabulary usually have a pretty poor vocabulary themselves... The sort of twee person who thinks swearing is in any way a sign of a lack of education or a lack of verbal interest or -is just a f**ing lunatic... I haven't met anybody who's truly shocked at swearing, really, they're only shocked on behalf of other people. Well, you know, that's preposterous... or they say 'it's not necessary'. As if that should stop one doing it! It's not necessary to have coloured socks, it's not necessary for this cushion to be here, but is anyone going to write in and say 'I was shocked to see that cushion there, it really wasn't necessary'? No, things not being necessary is what makes life interesting -the little extras in life.
Oh for goodness sake Steven I can swear with the best of them, I just choose my timing a little better.  I don't think there is any correlation between well versed people and swearers.  What a load of B.......t my friend.

... BUT let's get back on topic and not completely wander into insults and slap-fights.

I presume that when you say limiting their resources you mean food and water.  So you starve and perish them to death to control their numbers.  My won't that be humane and a pretty sight.  Get out here where they are a real problem, stop talking through your hat, be realistic.  No of course you won't do that, you will remain in your ivory tower preaching absolute rot.
They won't starve, they adapt. This was pointed out. They will stop breeding so the kangaroos that already exist have enough food. Also, I do not have an ivory tower, because I'm vegan and ivory poaching is a most cruel practice   peace
