Isn't it illegal to dock dogs tails now? I was shocked to see this:
Tails and dew claws removed. CH Bloodlines. for contact information please click on this link or our still building web for them.  furious

Tail docking, ear cropping, devocalisation and declawing (in cats) are all illegal in Australia. The removal of dew claws is legal, which is something I cannot make sense of.

I'm not sure how genuine the ad or the website is. They don't actually mention where they live, and they seem to be pushing selling their puppies, rather than pushing information about the breed itself. If they are legit, it doesn't take much to tell that they're not reputable breeders, regardless of whether or not they're registered.

They also say their dogs are from Champion bloodlines, but the don't show the parents, pedigrees or show results. They don't even provide the puppies' registered names, assuming they're registered at all.

AKC stands for American Kennel Club, I assume this ad is American

Ok thought it was odd - it came up in a google search of Yorkshire Terriers.
They talk about the docking like it is a good thing. Have never understood why people think it is good to dock the tails.
Our mini foxie that we got from a rescue when she was 3 had her tail docked too sad

Nope the add has a location down the side and says it's in Australia. The Australian kennel club is  ANKC I think. Most likely they just didn't do any research on AKC, and threw it in the ad to make them sound better.

I'm fairly sure mini fox terriers can be born with natural bob tails.

These people are dodgy as hell.. tea cups are not really pure breds and ethical registered breeders do not list their dogs as being tea cups as they're usually quite unhealthy dogs. They say AKC on their website too but you're correct, its in Australia.

I'm going to contact them.

It's illegal but it is still happening in Australia.
My half-sister recently bought a puppy from a breeder which still docks her rottweilers tails via the 'banded' method.
It's disgusting that some dodgy breeders still do it but their are still people who for some absurd reason still want dogs with docked tails.

EDIT: And what makes it worse is that the puppy she got was 5 weeks old and still has the band on its tail. From what I have been reading online to cause the least pain possible the docking should be completed when the puppy is 3 days old. Which makes the situation even worse!
Sorry to hijack the thread. It's just frustrating that I can't do anything about it  furious

Let us know how you get on?
I don't know enough about dogs to be very convincing - but surely they can't just spruke about it on the net?!
