I know you're avoiding soy, but for those that aren't.... try Sanatarium vanilla soy milk (half a glass) 1 banana and 2 handfuls of frozen mixed berries. Blend. Drink. Awesome happy

plunged coffee (cold) blended with almond milk (almond or vanilla icecream if you have it too), cacao powder and a few hazlenuts is lovely.

I also make mixed berry + organic apple juice

Or Banana + soy milk + coconut icecream and agave nectar is delish!
The first one sounds incredible ecstatic yum yum.

Sort of on this topic, does anyone have any recommendations of blenders? I've never been entirely happy with any blender we've had in the past, either it's too fiddly and annoying to set up, or the blades aren't big enough, or it has that little ridge at the bottom where stuff gets stuck in. Does anyone own a blender that they just adore and think is the bee's knees? tongue

I have a russel hobbs one which is pretty good, it was about $100 on sale and has a million different settings on it, ie: Crush ice, smoothie, cocktail, high, low, puree'
But, I've been told vitamix is the way to go. I probably would have gotten one if I had a spare $800........

I just had a banana malt shake.
1 large banana, soy milk, 1 tablespoon of malt extract, a sprinkle of wheat germ and some ice.

Eek, yeah I've looked at vitamix before and nearly had a heart attack at the price. Same with the kitchenaid mixer I wanted to buy sad

Rehydrate some dried goji berries (just let them sit in water for an hour), then throw the berries and water in with one banana, some frozen mixed berries and some flaxseeds. yum!
Save some money and purchase 'lechumia' berries from asian specialist grocers, save 40-50-60%? I've heard 'cheaper than raisins'

Blessings

Some people in particular the 'Hippocrates Center' are claiming that heavy blender-er-ering can reduce the nutritional value of fruits and vege upto 90%. Now this is a claim not as of yet backed by science. So 3 horse-powered blender may be more than a house-holds needs.
Check it out!

Blessings
