It's not the animals that are the problem. It's the humans. We are the ones in plague proportions, yet we're not being culled? hypocritical is the only word for it.

"ooh the kangaroos are eating the grass kill them, kill them"
"the humans bulldozed a rainforest to build a five star resort give them awards, give them awards"

hypocrites.
Oh for goodness sake.  If you plan to solve this problem you had best not spend too much time working out where you are going to buy your new shoes from.  Your energies would be much better spent working out how to cull humans.  Please let us know if you have a solution.  Remember words are cheap.  Get cracking and keep us up to date as to how you plan to put your money where your mouth is.

or maybe I'll get into nature, and hunt in the real world. Get your head out of your arse, you loser. Stop trying to in fringe on other sports. Yes, I said it, sport. Hunting is a sport.
No need for name calling. Especially when you told someone off for it.
I don't really see how something can be a sport when not all participants are willing? I mean I'm sure it takes some sort of skill but so does knitting.

The guy called me a douche, I'll fight fire with fire.

Depends on what you see a sport. Back in the day, cricket was called a sport, neither was ruby, they were games. Hunting was sport. Depends on how you define a sport.

I would absolutely love to see a solution to human overpopulation but that doesn't seem to go over too well with people, does it? My solutions would be to stop destroying what is left and re-developing already ruined land into high density residences. Declare all land that is undeveloped as reserves because if that doesn't happen then there will be nothing left. At least halve all animal agriculture since that is the most damaging human activity on the environment.

Ever seen Terra Nova? the way humanity is going right now, 2149, looks like it is very likely. That's if the military doesn't kill us first with their advancing weaponry. Humanity in messed up and in real trouble right now.

The fact is, not matter how much damage I think us humans are doing to the environment (I do see a lot of daamge being done, and I don't like it. Soon their be no where for the deer to live and no where for me to hunt!) I can't got out and cull humans. However, I can go out and cull feral deer, foxes, rabbits etc. I can stop the damge being a done, and I will.
Yeah maybe you can stop the damage for five minutes while greedy corporate hacks finalise the plans to bulldoze the land you're 'saving'.

Catyren you need to get yourself out here and have a look at the National Parks.  They are grossly mismanaged and a disgrace.  If you plan on declaring all lands that are undeveloped as reserves where the hell do you think you are going to farm for your diet.  I really can't understand you fellows.  You are so misguided and blinded by your pursuit of this perfect world.

Most of this discussion has been very agreeable. Please don't revert to name calling. It's not going make the conversation better for anyone.

Their is enough agricutural land already. and if animal agriculture was halved there would be even more land available. is it your ambition that wilderness becomes non-existent?! There is nothing wrong with humans just butting out and letting the wilderness evolve on it's own. It's the humans that need to be managed, not the environment. It's the humans that are the problem. It's that, "I deserve" and "I can do/take what I want and to hell with the consequences" attitude that has cause these problems.

There is absolutely NOT enough agricultural land already and if all the world's population stopped eating meat we would NEVER have enough Ag land available.  Pull your head out of the sand.  And while I am at it there have been floods out our way, the sandflies are driving the roos and the emus to suicide.  Where are you, they could do with your help.  Oh no it will be the good old beef, sheep producer, he will put the poor things out of their misery whilst you sit in your ivory tower preaching to us about the evils of eating meat.

I give 1 day every week working in a wildlife rehabilitation centre to care for injured and sick native animals and endangered species so don't preach to me about not doing anything. You know nothing about my life and you're in no position to criticize when your very livelihood is contributing to climate change and land degradation, when your 'product' contributes to the declining health of our nation. Get off your high horse and take a look in the mirror before you cast a stone!
