Hey guys
I've just put together a new post about what Easter chocolates etc. are vegan.
I have ONLY included products that are available in stores in Australia. NOT any online treats.

http://www.vegantasmania.com/2012/03/very-vegan-easter.html

ENJOY! ecstatic

Thank you! Didn't know about that macro lactose free bunny. Can't wait to eat a nice smiling hollow chocolate easter bunny again lol.

Yep it's great and there's the egg too which is nice! It's good to have something that we can eat for easter too!

Nice post!

Whittakers 50% cocoa is also vegan. I much prefer it as it doesn't have that bitter taste that darker chocolate has. They also make peppermint, almond and orange flavoured dark chocolate (found at Big W).

Hot cross buns at Baker's Delight are definitely vegan: http://bakersdelight.com.au/whatwebake/products/traditional-hot-cross-bun.aspx.
Woolworths and Coles ones used to be vegan but someone mentioned that they now contain gelatine so I'm not sure on that one.

Darrell Lea also make little dark chocolate hearts which are vegan.
Priceline sells dark chocolate covered ginger which appeared fine, and they also sell dark chocolate Heritage brand easter rabbits which are like only $2 and taste really good.

Also this Simpons chocolate would be great for kids (or adults tongue):

From memory they sell it at David Jones and Darrell Lea.

And as you can tell I'm not obsessed with chocolate at all  ashamed

I don't know about Woolies, but Coles do. I asked my sister about this as she's a baker at Coles, and she's unsure why it's in there, but they get the dough premade sent to them. I think she said the gelatine is in the cross on the top.

If it's not fair trade it's almost certain child slavery has been involved in the production of the cocoa. Even occasionally cocoa from farms using child labour slips into the fair trade stuff.

Oxfam has a few good fair trade vegan dark chocolates.

Thanks. I wasn't about to run through every place you can buy vegan hot cross buns though.
