VOLUNTEER NEEDED
Hi All,
I'm spreading the word that I'm on the Northern Hairy Nose Wombat caretaker program this yr DEC12,JAN13. I need one more volunteer for this amazing job, looking after Australians most endangered animal.
So if your interested leave a comment so i can message you .
Regards Mark
Northern Hairy nosed? They're incredibly rare, what kind of care taker project is it? People spend decades tracking them in the wild, and only ever find their poo, which usually ends up being Southern Hairy nosed wombat poo.
The caretaker program is for one to two months all depends how much time you wanna volunteer for. Its at Epping National Park which is in QLD. You stay and live at the national park looking after the wombats. Jobs include looking after the dingo fence, the cattle fence, taking hair samples, taking video off the wombats and just looking after the them. They are one off the most endangered animal in the world ( 138 left ). The national park is restricted access, so the only people who ever get to see this animals, are the park rangers and the caretakers. So at the moment my name is down for the program, but there has to be two people for safety reasons, so i'm trying to find a partner now.
If you need any more infor let me know

Oh, makes sense now! If I wasn't in Tasmania, I would definitely get involved! What an awesome opportunity. Queenslanders should definitely get onto this, I would seriously love to go Epping National Park to work with Northern Hairy Nosed wombats!
And read the Secret Life of Wombats by James Woodford, an extremely good book!
