sent an email just then telling them that there is no longer such a market for them to open up such a store, especially since the next generation seems to be more aware of everything hidden in the animal industry especially since the live export. I also warned them of the protest bound to happen if they do open their stores, aswell as the fact that i am happier buying shoes and clothes not made from leather because its saving a life and its saving me a load of money!
I have not heard anything back from them, they also removed their job advertisement.
They are opening up on ebenezer place just off rundle street. I'll let you know when i know more.
im pretty sure the other day when i walked past it was open??? (which is why i commented on this post to give it a bump) ...well it had all their clothes out on racks inside the store anyways/signs up .... and yes ebenezer place is where it is at!
Animals Liberation SA had a protest outside Wild Child on The Parade on Friday where they sell fur. It is looking like the next one will be outside Le Fur on the 30th of June, but will keep you posted we had some great public support on Friday so hopefully we can run this Le Fur place out of business x
I cannot believe that it is 2012 and people still actually think that it is acceptable to wear another's fur? This thought process belongs in the dark ages surely.......... I am struggling to believe that any one would actually think that this is not wrong???
i wasn't actually sure if it was open yet (i don't really go into town that often)
but i have been informed that it is open
they have a contact number and email address that you can contact them at :
Tel: 0428 147 777
Email:
they are open from 10-5:30 daily.
Can you send me any more information on the animal lib protest?
I will stay true to my word, i will be protesting out front of their store as much as i can. And everyone is welcome to join me.
Ok, I sent an email to Le Fur like a good little kiddie. And then I thought, since the Rundle Street East website is promoting them, maybe I should let them know that I don't support their decision to promote this fur retailer. So I got on the developers website and found a way to contact them also. http://www.marasgroup.com.au/east_end.html
I'm not entirely sure how much control they have over what businesses get to set up shop in the area, but I sent them a nice note saying I 'assumed they had some say in what retailers were present' and that 'considering all the fur retailers had been campaigned out of the city in recent time (according to animal liberation website) I didn't see how supporting Le Fur would benefit them'.
And don't know how wise this was of me, and whether it will be beneficial at all, but if it's helpful then yay
