pst: If rennet is taken off the list of ingredients because someone doesn't want to eat it as of this reason, but not out of the ingredients.
What else is in there...?
Ground-up nail clippings maybe? Gotta have an animal-based binding agent, or else it's no fun. Tapioca starch is for those vegetable-worshipping freaks. Eliminate any and all association with them - they can't be trusted.
its still putting in the hands of corporate giants that will still kill animals as long as they can make a buck and there are fat stupid f**ks that buy it. Even if they made a super healthy vegan burger i would not buy it unless they stopped whoring themselves out to every commercial outlet they could boasting about how good their dead cow and tortured pig burgers were...Cooking awesome food is a beautiful privilege in a time we are lucky to live in, so make the most of it.
As a Hungry Jacks employee I can inform everyone that the Veggie Burger still does contain Calf Rennet. The veggie burger also may come into contact with chicken and fish as it is cooked in the fryer with these two products. Along the line it may also come in to contact with Bacon, Beef etc. as we prepare the Veggie burger in the same place as we prepare the other burgers using the same tongs, gloves etc.
On another note I would like to point out that Hungry Jacks never stated the the "Veggie Burger" is a vegetarian item of the menu, it is not called the "vegetarian burger"

Just thought I would inform everyone to avoid too much confusion (Also I do not represent Hungry Jacks - I am just an employee )
Thank you for the clarification, and much as you do not represent Hungry Jacks and merely work there, please know that this is not directed at you, rather the company you work for:
What in the world is the point of a veggie burger that is not vegetarian? How many non-vegetarians eat veggie patties in a meat burger outlet? This is an item that, while cleverly not being outright called vegetarian, is clearly targeted at the vegetarian market, exploiting the admittedly presumptuous but nevertheless logical notion that a veggie burger would be vegetarian. I find it frustrating that they even have this joke of a burger, as it is consumed almost exclusively by misinformed, uninformed or "new" vegetarians.
Once again, this is not directed at you personally, and I thank you for summing up and confirming the information that we have been looking into.
Completely agree with you. We often have this argument on the Hungry Jacks staff forum but as always it is the owners & Managers.. the ones that at the end of the day make all the money that make stupid decisions like this and close our threads.
I am not vegetarian but I am completely against false advertising like this that makes lives for the people who want to be, harder. *starts new thread on Hungry Jacks Forum *
Thanks for that, gg01. It's nice to speak to someone as well-rounded as you from the meat-eating side of things. Unfortunately, the Internet being the way it is, we usually attract trolls instead.
Another thing which is a major problem at HJ is that many of the staff members on Front Counter and Drive through are often not aware that the Veggie burger is not vegetarian. I have often heard customers ask if the burger is vegetarian and 80% of the time they will say it is.

My sister used to be a Hungry Jacks employee, but she ended up quitting, for obvious reasons, being a vegetarian in Hungry Jacks isn't fun... But she says the veggie patties were always cooked with the meat ones, so vegetarians shouldn't be eating them regardless of calf rennet.
