Just wondering if any of you have siblings that are Vegan or Vegetarian?
I have 2. Ones 12, and ones 7.
I wanna know if any of you have any cool stories of activisim.
Heres mine.
My little Sister, Ellie is 6. She hates all the stupid adverts on T.V saying that if we dont eat chicken there is something wrong with us (Inghams) and we are stupid if we dont eat meat (redmeat Advert). She told me that she hated them, and that she wanted to call them up and yell at them, so I got the Inghams phone number and she called them, she told them that they are stupid, and that chickens are really cute and dont deserve to be eaten. Then she was yelling at them. It was really cute. I'll never forget how brave she was.
I don't have any vegan/vegetarian relatives, but I was listening on youtube to interview with Tim McIlrath, front man - Rise Against (i sound like a total groupie now), and he was talking about his daughter at Kindergarten (she's a vegan too). So basically because Tim has been a vegan for so long, he no longer calls 'faux-ham', faux-ham, but instead just 'ham' etc. however, his daughter is always correcting him "no daddy, we eat fake-chicken" etc.
So anyway one day the kinda, the other kids found a caterpillar and were doing what little kids do, "eat it! eat it! hehehhe." So, she stared down the boy with the caterpillar and calmly said, "no, i am a vegan. i don't eat caterpillars, i eat fake-caterpillars."

N'awwwwww! ^_^ That's adorable.
But yeah, no vego siblings for me unfortunately...

No, I don't have any veg relatives. My sister tells people she's a vegetarian though, and how she loves animals and everything. But, it's pathetic really, she eats meat "when there is nothing else to eat", because she doesn't really care. -__-
my sister and my two brothers are vegetarian (theres only one meat eater in my fam)
not really any stories though.. they've grown up vegetarian so its become the norm and nobody really notices things like annoying ad's... well whenever the one for inghams comes on we all start yelling at the TV

My older sis was the one who actually inspired me to be vego... but then she kept getting sick because she hated tofu/soybeans etc and wouldn't substitute anything for meat. So basically she's back on the meat...
