Turtles are being tortured.

The following is a post written on facebook by Anthony Damiano:

"For those who do not know, "Snapperfest" is a brutal festival held every summer in Ohio County, Indiana, where backwater, hillbilly proto-humans gather to cheer on fellow neanderthals, who torture turtles for their depraved amusement. The turtles are snatched from their natural wetland habitat, forced to endure being wrestled, as well as strangled(some to death, even ripped out of their shells to the sound of exuberant applause from the crowd) by these ugly, sweaty and smelly lunatics. This festival of barbaric brutality will be happening very soon. Please be a voice for the turtles, who have no voice of their own. If you have any media contacts who would place this horrific display in the public eye, please alert them if you would. "

Americans are by far the worst humans alive! they torture any animal just for their own amusement! it makes me sick! They have rodeos where the animals are so afraid they result in anger trying to get the humans off their back, its funny to them. Then they have aligator hunting, again shooting innocent aligators just for their ammusement. And now hearing this about those turtles being take from their own natural habitat for someones amusement is disgusting. Petition signed.

That's nothing short of horrific. I'm signing. I will never understand people like this.

However, I do disagree with this:

I don't think it's fair to make a generalization about an entire nation. Yes, the Americans partaking in this disturbing festival are awful, but not every American is like this. Would you say the same thing of Gary Yourofsky? I have a couple of American friends who would never do anything like this. A few of them are even vegan.

Wow, being from Australia i've never heard of this snapperfest before. It sounds absolutely dreadful! I signed the petition and passed it along to friends who will hopefully also sign. I hope we can put a stop to it.

What creator? You are really dumb. If you're so over it, please just drown in a lake somewhere.

I think if you're 'over' something, it might be a good idea to stand up and try to change it, not kill yourself.... Ronnie has the right idea. Don't tell people to kill themselves because they're disgraced by the actions of others TL. That's messed up.
