Perth doesn't have as much than bigger cities like Melbourne and Sydney for vegans, but there's more out there than most of us realise. Certainly more than I first thought. In addition to the five places listed on Unleashed's Guide to Vegan Dining (http://www.unleashed.org.au/change_the_world/go_veg/eating_out.php) which are:

Lotus Vegetarian Restaurant

Annalaksmi

Sri Melaka Vegetarian Nyogna Restaurant

Sassy's on Swan

The Wild Fig Cafe

(Of which I have only tried one... I need to get out more!)

There is also...

PAWS Vegan Cafe and grocery store
120 Beaufort Street  Perth WA 6000
(08)9228 2435

Govinda's Restaurant (Hare Krishna vegetarian with vegan options)
194 William St
Perth, WA 6000

Utopia in Northbridge
Includes a vegetarian/vegan restaurant specialising in Asian tofu and mockmeat dishes. Hello, Schezuan tofu!
14/109 James Street  Perth WA 6003
(08) 9227

I've been to all three of these, and they're all pretty damn tasty. PAWS offers student discounts on all their cafe food. They have hot meals, home made pies, Funky Pies, home made delicious, delicious cakes and slices and veggie burgers.

Govinda's, being Hare Krishna is obviously Indian food. They have the best samosa's I've ever had, and like PAWS, offer a student discount. All their food is buffet-style and if you're vegan, all you need to do is say so, because the staff all know exactly what it means, and exactly what options that eliminates for you.

The Utopia in Northbridge is the only one that I've found so far in WA with a restaurant, but I think there are others out there. Their food is strictly vegetarian/vegan, and their menu even has a little flyer encouraging people to go veg for the animals and the planet! Everything there is so tasty. And what could be better than bubble tea with your vegan satay "chicken"?

Also try" Source" in Northbridge, they have a breakfast called Vegan Heaven, and it's not too far off.

According to Google, it can be found here: 289 Beaufort Street  Perth WA 6000
(08) 6468 7100

So, what is included in this "Vegan Heaven?" I will die of happiness the day that a vegan restaurant can offer pancakes with ice cream, strawberries and maple syrup like what I make at home. tongue

Source Foods does awesome vegan burgers on a Friday night (four different options!).

Other good places:

Veggie Mamas in Mt Lawley
Raw Kitchen in Freo
Genesis in the Hills (which is in the hills, funnily enough)
PAWS in Tuart Hill
The Juicy Beetroot in Freo

Apparently there's two Loving Huts which will open soon, both in Vic Park.

Juicy Beetroot is unbeatable but is only open weekdays (bogus!).

Where else is there? There must be some more!

Hot damn, this is getting me excited. I always get so bored and stuck in a rut when it comes to eating out, especially since my partner is a meaty meat-lover. tongue (Although he's more than happy to eat veg with me from time to time.)

So many places to go! So many ideas for sweet talking my other half into eating out...

There is also one world up in Tuart Hill, behind the main street Mcdonalds. It's not as good at it used to be but it does have some decent food and a good range of frozen mock meats etc.

Also the vegan heaven breakfast from Source has mushrooms, beans, wilted baby spinach, toast, and i usually order a side of tempeh and avocado.
