I guess it depends on each individual and what they decide is okay for them to buy/use as a vegan.
I personally don't get myself to involved in things like glues used in shoes, stearic acid used in tyres, animal fat in plastic bags etc. because they are hard to avoid and aren't properly labelled. And if I spent my time trying to find out from every single company I would probably drive myself crazy and lose my original motivation for becoming vegan.
To me I see the fact they are made in sweatshops overseas more of a problem than them maybe containing animal glue. But If it bothers you then just pop them through an email and they hopefully will be able to give you an answer
^ Agree their sizing is terrible and their shoes don't last more than a couple of months at best! I used to buy cheap shoes all the time but felt so wasteful and bad doing so as it was not at all environmentally friendly.
Pay a bit more for high quality vegan shoes which will last longer and put your mind at ease
Check out Etiko Shoes, or, if you want workstyle boots, check out the vegan dr martens now available, expensive, however they turn out cheaper to buy online from america including shipping rather than from a store themselves. http://www.drmartens.com/ - just put vegan in their search bar on the top right.

I've worn a pair of shoes from there every single day for the last 4 months and they are still in perfect condition. 122 days of wear roughly! So not sure why some people's didn't last. I didn't worry about the glue, just made sure they weren't leather.
