This is the book my Aunt bought me - https://www.allenandunwin.com/default.aspx?page=94&book=9781408812129
And I have only tried a couple of recipes and am already in love with it. happy
So far I have made lentil and spinach soup and cauliflower and chickpea curry. It's a really good book - and if you purchase it make sure you put the time into reading his little manifesto in the front - he has a really respectful opinion. happy In fact.. on that link you can read the manifesto in the google preview of the book. wink
If you are interested let me know and I'll be happy to post the recipes I have tried so far for you to give them ago and consider investing in this book.
It has a little v next to the recipes that are vegan friendly and most of the others have ingredients that are easily substituted so the recipes are vegan friendly. He even says that in the book. wink
Also - I'm sure you can find it cheaper - but regardless, it's worth the price, it's a really thick book. And hardcover. happy

I'm pretty sure Fishpond sometimes does really good deals and this book is on their site. happy

I thought I was going to really like his show, the first episode where he puts in his veggie patch was great.. later on he raises pigs, kills them and goes hunting. Not cool. Hunting is not ok and neither is slaughtering animals.

Sure he's better than most, growing his own food. But I couldn't watch it after the hunting and slaughtering episodes. sad

This is a vegetarian and vegan friendly cook book - not the tv series wink

You should read the manifesto in the google preview on that link.

And honestly, a man who raises and slaughters his own food is alot more respectable/supportable than a man who drops by the local supermarket.
It's books like this that need to be supported, have a read of that manifesto, with an open mind,  it is a really respectable opinion.

Oh don't get me wrong. I'm not disagreeing with you! Not at all. I was merely stating my opinion on the tv show. I agree he is a lot more informed and ethical than most as I already mentioned. And the book should be supported. I didn't any disrespect. Just a general statement that I really liked the first episode of his show and was thinking it would be great... until I saw the others. So I was disappointed. Any steps towards Veg should be supported.

Do you have digital tv? Might be handy to read the description of the show I think if you press epg you get a description before you watch it , then you can get a bit of an idea as to what recipes he's cooking on what particular episode. happy
