I'm sorry if this is a dumb question but my research didn't really help me. As Sunday is puppy factory awareness day there has been a lot of talk about puppy factories, so I was wondering if there are kitten factories as well? (I'm sure there is, i just want to know for sure). Any information you have will be greatly appreciated happy I have 2 rescue cats who are the most amazing companions I could ever ask for, so I want to help out cats as well as dogs in trouble happy Thanks everyone! happy

I think there are some commercial kitty breeders that are somewhat less known. I suggest emailing PETA on this.

Yes! They're all the same. Basically every animal you can buy in a pet shop, rabbits, guinea pigs etc etc have generally come from some kind of mill. I don't believe the practice is quite as big as puppy mills though, but maybe I'm just assuming because puppy mills are a lot more "known".
