I would feel guilty not feeding my dog meat.
I did initially try to feed him vegan but hew didnt like it.

The way i see it , he is disconnected from natural things like being part of a dog pack, mating with females, hunting his own food and being allowed to rome free. I think he at least deserves to eat some meat and chew on a bone.
well at least you tried the vegan thing.
but i guess if i did try feed my cats anything different they would probably just look at me like "what is this.." and go hunt for their own food. well one would, the other is too lazy and would probably just wait it out.

but yeah i was just wondering if anyone else felt guilty about it. i wouldnt stop feeding my cats meat unless i could afford to give them vegan/vego food, it met their nutritional requirements and that they actually liked it.. and i dont see that happening anytime in the near future.

maybe ill google how to make vego biscuits for cats. i know you can make dog ones. and atleast that way i can cut out one meat thing i buy, but still have the can meat for them..

Totally get your concern and I think most feel the same, it's just such a pity that the vegan stuff is just too expensive for some. I would suggest buying cat food that isn't tested on animals too because then at least you're cutting out some of that cruelty and unveganism! Also the commercial cheap cat brands are very high in salt and recently gave one of my kitties stones (which can kill) so it's also important for your kitties health to make sure you're not buying the salty stuff. Cats are fussy eaters and like us they do like unhealthy things too, I would suggest moving on to something like Science Diet biscuits instead because they're a lot healthier for your kitty and they don't animal test. happy
