What is your favourite non-dairy milk & why?

Slowly making the switch to veganism and milk is next on my list of things..

I make my own almond milk, which is super easy and then use soy for cappucinos, as it froths better happy. Almond milk has does wonders for my complexion too!

The best thing about not drinking cow's milk (or milk from another mammal) is that there is so much choice and each tastes different and suits different uses.

I have found that for milky sweets, such as chocolate milk or icecream, coconut milk is my favourite.

Oat milk would have to be my favourite for everything else. I don't drink a great deal of milk things anyway. Unfortunately I have found the flavour of soy really turns my stomach, and I am not a huge fan of almond milk, even though I thought I  would be. Lucky we have so many options!

For cereal: Almond milk (Almond Breeze)

For coffee, tea and milk shakes etc: Soy milk (Bonsoy)

For ice cream: coconut milk (although some people, including me, feel a bit sick after eating certain brands of coconut-milk based ice cream)

To be honest, the most versatile of them all in soy, despite the fact that it gets criticised from every angle. There's no reason why you can't store a few different varieties though for different purposes. Rice milk and oat milk are not to shabby either!

I use Almond Breeze for everything. I like it because it doesn't curdle in tea and coffee like most of the other milks I've tried, the taste is subtle, and it lasts for a long time without clumping. My second choice would be any Vitasoy rice milk, also for the subtle flavour and consistency.

I agree! I make my own almond milk too... for me anyway, it tastes better than any store bought milk!

I'm vegetarian, but I've thought about veganism and so tried a few different milks happy. My favourite by far was rice milk.

I love soy milk but I was finding it would make me feel unwell, so I tried almond milk but that just curdled in tea and coffee .
so I switched to rice milk and I love it. It's a lot thinner that the other milks but I really like it in tea and coffee. And the kids love it too.

Bonsoy is definitely the best for tea, coffee and cereal. I must admit I'm not super keen on almond breeze it's ok in a smoothie I prefer the pure harvest almond milk. I also just discovered 'coco quench' from pure harvest, (they sell it in health food shops and some supermarkets) it's a combination of coconut and rice milk, it makes THE BEST SMOOTHIES EVER!!
