I am happy now and I have a healthy boy. I do not need more proof than that to know what I am doing is right. I massage and am a therapist, so I really need my energy. I am now studying natropathy and herbal medicine so I can understand further about nutients. I also have to respect cultures and people of the world. I would consider a vegan at my dinner table and serve a vegan dish, but I am pretty damn sure that a vegan would only think of their needs. I am so sick of people who are uncultured and judgmental, especially in Australia. Here everyone has a problem with Asians, Muslims, Latinos, Africans, African Americans, Indigenous people because of one reason or another, now people here are adding on another reason. Meat eaters. The funny thing is that Australia is one of the biggest food wasters in the world and greatest polluters of the envrionment, yet Australia points the finger to everyone else for personal reasons such as religion, culture and now cuisine. By the way, there is no such thing as vegan Mexican Nachos!!!! If you are going to be veg, do not insult the Mexican culture by stealing the name and making it something it is not. That is respect!!!!
I'm not really sure what your goal is here.  You come onto an animal rights forum, where most people are vegetarian, vegan or aspiring to be and start telling us that meat is not cruel.  Now I'm sorry if you feel that us setting you straight is being judgmental - it's not.  It's just clearing up a few facts for you.  It's good your study includes nutrition, because maybe you will learn that in actual fact people do not need to eat animal products to be healthy.  In fact a plant based diet can be the most healthy diet there is.  Maybe you should save the energy you need so much as you're really not convincing anybody.

Nobody here can deny that veg offers more iron and vitamin D etc than meat. You are new in this converstion and I was about to leave. Maybe you need to read back to the start.

No point, you seem happy to eat meat and support cruelty and to believe that we need to eat meat when we clearly don't so I don't really see much point continuing the discussion anyway.

I think this thread has been hijacked long enough. Debate is fine, except that it has resulted in destructive accusations and name calling, and this is strictly against our forum policy because it doesn't make anyone feel better, and it certainly doesn't help any animals.

In respect for the people who were discussing this topic before it was hijacked, I don't want to have to see this thread locked. So please, please, let's ALL put our energy into something more constructive?

happy
