This is an important point. In honesty, I would do the same if human's had been mistreated in the production of the medicine/drug.

I agree we should all try and support vegan/ethical places as much as possible but there is and must be -at least in this social/economic climate - a distinction between the ethics of buying a certain product and the ethics regarding buying from a certain company...

It''s a very simple rule regarding veganism - you don't buy animal products from companies because they are always unehtical in that respect... but the company thing is a big gray area where practicality/ethics/necessity/ideology are all jumbled up.

Veganism is pretty clear cut.

This is basically the whole premise of the dont buy animal products = vegan world thing. Same at coles or the organic shop or whereever, if animal products don't sell, they don't sell them.

I'd like to see every kfc and mcdonalds and big chain/corporation etc torn to the ground and replaced with ethical outlets... but not everyone feels that way.. and buying a salad from kfc is a start.

Yes it does though that's more due to other people treating me like shit and beating myself esteem down to absolute zero. I reached a point where i was trying to constantly kill myself and ended up getting locked up for a month where i couldn't see my friends family and was force feed drugs . I even saw some of the doctors bash a pregant girl.. but thats another story

maybe instead of being a c**ty prick you can try to use understanding to work out why people feel the way they do. I shouldn't have to explain myslef to assholes considering there the reason i am the way i am.

this guy takes medicine for anxiety. he's talked of not being able to go shopping in normal shopping centres (sorry bop if i got this wrong)

and from knowing someone with debilitating anxiety attacks, using your example as an analogy, normal life for the person i know IS LIKE walking around, waiting for a mine to explode. the guy i know can't go outside, sometimes not even outside his room, due to his anxiety. he cannot like a normal life (not bop, but a irl friend of mine).

it's gross that you make such swooping comments about mental illness. it will be hard for you to comprehend this, but for some suffers of anxiety, being confined to a 3rd world country is not unlike their life today.

ummmm lets all yell and make loud noise??. iunno how to deal with this maybe i should butt out. but maybe you guys should stop coz to anyone reading this its a silly arguement. rather than getting more people angry someone should show zachory some research/info on mental ilness because he is clearly misinformed, also this has gone from a debate to pointless ridicule. so all of you be "the bigger `man`" and cut it out, maybe some apologies should be sent? idunno lets start focusing on the topic again. im not having a go at anyone please dont take it that way at all. we are al on here coz we love

what are your thoughs on McHappy Day? unethical for the animals but good for the sick kids and familys.

Yeh, it funds those places which accomdate the already-sick kids' families.

But what about the kids who aren't sick?

We know McDonalds pumps its meat, particulary chicken, with hormones and steroids which have proven links to cancer.

To me, it seems as though McDonalds is getting the kids sick, and then having places to care for them once they do become sick. The story of our contemporary fast food society I think.

But regardless of the links to disease, it's obvious; "McHappy Day" does far more bad than it does good. I wonder how many animals will be sacrificed today, only to become a burger for which every one sold $1 will be donated to charity? Hundreds of thousands. Gone forever.
