Isn't eating animal product "convenience"? It means that people don't have to worry so much about their diet because meat is one big protein and vitamin pack. People go to fast food restaurants such as KFC and McDonalds for convenience, but I'm sure many of the people on this forum abstain from shopping there anyway. We have to think less of our convenience and indulgences like oreos and more of what else we can do for the animals, people and environment.
Yes eating animal products is convenient - because that is what is widely available. Which is why I think that it is important to let people know that veganism can also be convenient. People don't want to be told, veganism excludes all animal products, but also you should exclude products from this, that and the other company.. Most people would go running for the hills thinking it was too hard... so yes convenience is important, and the more vegan products available to people the better.
