There are many anti soy articles online but none of them seem to provide any references to scientific articles that prove these claims to be true. There has been no conclusive evidence to date that shows a correlation between the consumption of soy products and the development of certain health issues to be true. Like any food I don't think that consuming excess amounts of soy would constitute a good diet, but eating in moderation along with a wide variety of fruits, vegetables and other wholefoods is fine.

Soy grown in Australia is GM free, and a lot of soy products will even have a GM soy free logo on the packaging. It's not expensive at all, Sanitarium soy milk is GM free and you can buy it from under $2 a litre from Woolworths and Coles.
Really you don't have anything to worry about, the amount of soy you eat sounds like a very healthy amount and unless you start eating it by the bucket load then you have nothing to worry about happy
This article was an interesting read: http://zenhabits.net/soy/

Also take everything you read on the internet with a grain of salt, because you can find articles to prove or disprove just about anything, but it doesn't mean that their information is from a reliable source.

Thanks for the informative posts everyone, I am not worried about whether soy will effect my health. Whether it is actually true or not I still eat/drink the same amount as i always have.

Also,  I don't completely believe the article I linked nor any other online article, hence why I have created this post to gain for alternative responses/ feedbacks from fellow ethical members of this forum.

It is just disappointing for me to hear this noise about the soy issue from others & news etc. (everywhere) when I appreciate and rely on soy instead of dairy.

I buy non-GMO products, and try to stay as organic as possible.

The meat and dairy industries tend to propagate myths about soy. Regardless, soy milk is still healthier than dairy milk, and mock meat is still healthier than real meat.

it may not be bad for you directly, but if you believe in the conservation of the environment, in the long term, losing the most diverse rainforests in the world, could be a bad thing and lead to health issues

like chronic fatigue

Actually much of the soy grown in South America is fed to cattle and other livestock. Every year acres and acres of rainforest are cut there, to make grazing land for livestock as well as to grow soy and other crops to feed them. 98% of soy in the United States (according to Wikipedia) is fed to livestock. Soy grown for livestock is often GMO and therefore much more harmful to health and the environment, and healthy, organic, non-GMO soy is typically human grade.
