agree with others that all dogs are good, and rescue-ing is great.
But not all dog breeds are going to be 'suitable' to every person, obviously. Like some shed alot more, or require more exercise. So it depends on the person/household as to which dogs are 'best'.
I have border collies for instance - which is good for me as i like to go on 7km walks and they just adore the long walks...whereas like my sisters little terrier dog cant even manage half of that.
I am very partial to border collies , theyre very trainable and eager to learn - highly intellient. But very energetic!
I have a Border Collie-(Im guessing) Cocker Spaniel mix- most lovable dog in the world.
Also size of your yard is important too Not every rescue dog fits every person, you still need to do your research about breeds before heading to the shelter.
Living dogs are probably my favorite dogs actually. All dogs are great of course, but there's just something I love about a breathing dog with a pulse, who moves around and eats and drinks and enjoys life. Just my personal opinion though
I had a beautifull shih tzu for 18 years sadly he went to doggie heaven just last year. He was the most placid dog ever and most shih tzus I've came across are. In my opinion if your wanting a dog get a shih tzu. Always make your you adopt one
There's no such thing as a "best" breed, but some breeds are definitely more suited to some households than others.
I have a Jack Russell terrier and he is quite hyper and energetic and require a lot of exercise. Definitely don't consider adopting one if you live in an apartment (they can bark quite loudly sometimes), or you want a gentle, docile dog, or if you have a cat (JRTs are the most cat-hating breed and are known to kill cats)
I personally think that the cutest breeds visually are pomeranians, bichon frise, maltese and shih tzus
