Toast with peanut butter? Fruit?

It's hard to know, do you have any vegan products to use?

EDIT: I should add my lack of advice is because I'm not sure what you have in your house haha

Hi Charlotte,

You know what's delicious for breakfast (I think anyway)? Vegemite and avocado on toast! It's really filling and will keep you going through til your next meal or snack time.

For lunch you could try making a wrap? Fill one with corn, baby spinach leaves, grated carrot, grated beetroot, sliced mushroom, sliced cucumber, sliced tomato and avocado. The shops even have these great spinach wraps which are green in colour and taste really good.

Dinner, a nice pasta with vegetables and tomato sauce?

That's really cool that you're trying to go vegan for a week. Grab some more recipes here: http://www.unleashed.org.au/change_the_world/go_veg/vegan_recipes.php

Make sure you offer to help mum and dad with the shopping and cooking for this week, otherwise they may not want to cook "special" meals for you. You may even have to share your delicious wraps with them  wink

Have a great week and make sure you tell us all how you went!!

This! I've been having this almost every day for the past few weeks. So good.

If you don't have any quinoa at home you'd have to wait and buy some, but something I've been doing lately is cooking a whole bag of quinoa at a time and then keeping it in the fridge. That way I can grab some whenever I feel like to mix it with anything - I love it with soy sauce and salad leaves. One bag easily lasts me for one week so it's great for cooking on the weekend and then packing work/school lunches.

Here's a website you might find helpful;

Congrats on giving veganism a go, I hope it goes well for you!  clap

I am basically living off of fruit now. Every single meal I have has at least one serving of veggies, fruit and carbs. Add some beans and soy milk and you've got a meal.

For breakfeast I have toast or raisin toast (Helgas is vegan, and TipTop raisin roast is also vegan)
I also go a bowl of muesli with soy or almond milk. Fruit is also important. For lunch the easiest thing is a Sandwich, especially if you have to take it to school. Use wholegrain bread and load it with fresh veggies. You can add some tofutti vegan cream cheese or vegan mayo if you want to make it a little more interesting. There are also tofurky slices and mock meat stuff that you can add if you like, although it's probably best not to have that stuff every day as it's all processed. Good luck!

Hi Charlotte,  good for you happy

For breakfast I often have fruit bread (toasted) then mash a banana on it & crush some pecans on it - yummo.  (I hope you're not allergive to nuts).

I tried so hard but I just couldn't so it  your meant to enjoy foods but being a vegan you can't I did learn one thing from trying to go vegan is to respect the food we have. I'm so sorry I'm ashamed of myself and hopefully others don't feel that way about me I might try again when I'm older but for nom I'm just sticking to a vegetarian diet.
