Went I went veg I taught myself how to cook. It's a huge part of my life. I love it. Being vegan has helped my baking immensely it ensures that I be creative. I veganise a lot of things myself.
Saaaame! Thanks to all my allergies I've had to bake and make everything for years anyway lol
This is my shitty food blog. I really need to update it but there's a few things on there.
I'm also coeliac and trying to make the transition from no meat to vegetarian on my way to vegan. Its hard, particularly as my husband is an insulin dependent diabetic so have to cater for him too and I am on Weight Watchers (lost 14 kilo so its possible) and trying to eat low cal. Challenging! I am curious if anyone knows why vegans don't eat additives with E numbers and whether this is as important in Australia as it is in the UK (which is where I have found some info). I ran into one of the Sea Shepherd crew who are all vegan and they were asking for vegan food donations but no E numbers. The Laukies gluten and dairy free bread we make has E numbers in it. Does anyone know?
My daughters and I are. Vegan is easy (ish) but gluten free vegan is harder. Out of frustration I set up my own online store www.ozvgn.com.au to cater for folks like us. if you are into raw food then my friends run a raw vegan store too (rawpleasure.com.au) that is mostly gluten free as well So there are resources out there.
