I get this quite a lot at school, i do not yell out "hey everyone im vegan" they literally go out of their way to attack me with questions and try to prove my way of life wrong. It irritates the crap out of me but at the end of the day i know that i am doing the right thing and that they are ignorant and immature. respect doesnt always go both way unfortunately sad

Just ignore, ignore, ignore. There really is nothing else you can do, they are looking for a response, for you to angry at them. If you ignore them they WILL give up. People can be downright immature, insensitive and a lot don't get any better with age, it is something that happens to everyone and if it wasn't because your vegan then they would find something else. Bullies get bored if you ignore them.

Rise above it and walk away with your head held high.

The pain plants feel probably doesn't translate.
Or maybe it does... that is why we don't munch on a sick branch, that is dry and sugar less....(sunlove) because it would hurt your face.

= translation successful

I once encountered an older guy at a party across the road who slammed into me for "not even cooking my man" meat based meals. Two issues involved - the dismissive attitude towards me for going meat-free and his thinking that I'd be responsible for what my partner eats. It winded me and I had nothing clever to answer unfortunately.

In hindsight (always good to have wink) I should have just said 'mind your own business.'

I hate it when meat eaters try to make us look stupid.
Seriously, I've had so many questions that are just irrelevant..
My conversations generally go like this:
"Why don't you eat meat?"
"I love animals, and I never liked it all that much"
"What about animals that eat meat?"
"We have a choice, they don't, we don't need meat, they do"
"But you do need meat"
"Everyone says that but they're yet to explain it. Why do I need meat?"
"You just do"
"Why?"
"Because, it's been proven"
"Show me your proof"
*Silence*...

Then I shut them down with facts about how we live longer, ect. ecstatic
People are stupid, I don't pressure meat eaters to become veg, if they have questions, I answer them, so why do they try to pressure us?
Apparently to try and help me be healthy?
Yet we live longer?... Silly meat eaters, not knowing facts.

ZoZombify, when I first went vegan (over thirty years ago), nobody else was vegan where I lived, and certainly nobody my age, and nobody else was even 'vegetarian'. I encountered kids at school who immediately got defensive when I had to say I was vegan (i.e. I didn't come out and tell people for no reason, but only when offered non-vegan food, etc.). They got defensive because I was fighting the system, and they had never thought about WHY they were non-vegan.
Who is bullying you? You are in the right, what can they possibly be saying to convince themselves THEY are right to be non-vegan?
They are most likely trying to offload their guilt onto you, for daring to break the little bubble they live in.

I get so sick of this.
When people go on about it to me I just tell them that I am the healthiest I have ever been in my life and they sound like a religious freak banging on about meat, pushing their beliefs down my throat.

Usually shuts them up pretty quick
