I  learned Loreal still test on animals, so I decided to tell everyone about it and write " TESTS ON ANIMALS" on thier products.... Do you think I did the right thing???

First of all, basically nothing is as simple as the morality of right and wrong deducts it to. Secondly, that rules.

I'm not sure about defacing products in shops... But I applaud you anyway. I know petitions and letters only go so far sometimes.

And, if you didn't know..... Loreal owns The Body Shop too.

NOOOO...WHY????

i hate these massive corporations. Thank goodness for the smaller vegan/vegetarian companies that are willing to stand up to them, look the beasts straight in the eye, not letting themselves be bought out by the huge corporations; NOT letting them create monopolies!!!

SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL ORGANIC SHOP tongue

I mean come on.. you all know Sweet William white choc tastes SO much better from the organic shop down the road than from safeway... even though it costs $3 extra ;P

I love Sweet Williams chocolate!!!! *drools*

The original owner of the Body Shop sold out to Loreal about 2 years ago, I think. The Body Shop products aren't tested on animals, but the money they earn goes to their parent company Loreal, who do test on animals.

Grrrr at the Body shop with its enticing smells and lip balm! Why does it have to be so awesome and then you find out that its owned by Loreal.

But its just so misleading that they claim "against animal testing" on all their products!

Thanks everyone, I thought I'd done the right thing, but my friends just love products, and they don't care if they test on animals or kill them!! They just care about beauty, and I realise that now.. They were like" OMFG are you Insane??" and one of them actually stopped talking to me. I was like"Okaaaaaaaaaaay". Anyway, what I've learned is that you should always listen to what you believe.

Good for you!  Though I'm not sure about defacing stuff...  ashamed

It drives me mad that magazines will publish a token article about the cruelty involved with animal testing then proceed to let L'Oreal et al take up 10% of their publication in advertising.  There are so many cruelty-free alternatives!

thats awesome!
be careful with defacing products. you don't want people thinking all vegetarians/vegans are annoying vandals.

i can't believe all the companies that still test.  sad
