I went to an SDA school. Although I was never a Christian, it seemed to be a genuinely well meaning religion. They do a lot of humanitarian work etc, definitely not nut jobs
The difference is pretty simple. Most Creationist religions are harmful for societies. Clearly you have not learnt about the vile destruction they have caused and continue to do so.
... Clearly you have not learnt about the vile destruction they have caused and continue to do so.
Of course it's always easier being ignorant.
Would you like to provide us with some examples of the 'vile destruction' that the SDA church has caused?
Are your comments any better than racist or homophobic ones?
Yes they are. Religion is a choice that is frequently and inappropriately thrust upon people - being a person of colour and being homosexual are neither of those things. Christians are also not oppressed in our society - people of colour and LGBT+ people are.
I'm not agreeing with OP (I have no knowledge and little interest in the subject) but you can do better to disagree than comparing criticism of the largest religion in the world, one that is known historically to be involved in a lot of violent and hateful things, to the oppression and marginalisation of two groups of people who are currently the victims of social and systematic prejudice and violence, very often from people following said religion. Whether hatred of religion is justified is irrelevant - opposition to Christianity is nothing whatsoever like racism or homophobia.
Is the vile destruction anything like the killing and eating of a living being... Because no they are two completely different things to religion and saying you would rather eat non veg then to let proceeds go to a religous group is appalling and immature way to go about an issue... Did you even think of looking for alternatives... Like im not religous in anyway and i dont particularly like supporting such crap. And as many have said before me it is better that the proceeds go there and support them as aposed to supporting killing and eating of meat - our friends, surely you can see that...?
Also I think Ron meant his comment about racism and homophobics in such a way to say that they are all targeted in derogatory ways at a group of people based on either the groups opinions or race... (I'm pritty sure it wasn't in realationship to whether a person has a choice in their race or sexuality) as marG is clearly targeting a religion with her comments and intended such remarks to be degrogitory to the group as a whole... Which ultimately, looking at it in that light is the same as homophobic and/or racism... I think you may have taken it personally and have failed to see the main point of Ron's remark in the way it was intended...

I did not and could not have taken that post personally, considering I am both white and heterosexual. I know exactly how it was intended - to randomly grab at two things most people on this forum can agree are wrong and say "This is just like those things!" instead of coming up with any real reason why attacking a religion as powerful as Christianity might be bad.
I stand by what I said: People of colour and LGBT+ people face real oppression in their lives. By throwing the words "racist" and "homophobic" around to describe a benignant form of prejudice you are trivialising the very real dangers imposed upon them by straight and white people. It doesn't matter whether you think judging one group as a whole is the same as judging another group as a whole - the consequences of being critical of Christianity are nowhere even close to the consequences of racism and homophobia. It also should be noted that religions have sets of beliefs that can be judged independently of their individual followers, while race and sexual orientation are inseparable from individual identities.
I am not arguing for or against any one side of the argument of whether the SDA church or Sanitarium is good or bad. I am telling you that comparing the opinion that the SDA church is bad to racism or homophobia is a) belittling the causes of people who are negatively affected by racism and homophobia and b) a really lazy non-argument which appropriates two completely unrelated issues in an attempt to eschew responsibility to properly reason for oneself.
