Sign the Petition to Twitter CEO Dick Costolo

I wanted to make sure you saw my note and had a chance to sign our petition asking our favorite social media companies, including Twitter, to commit to 100% renewable energy for their data centers.

There is already so much progress in this campaign. Google, Apple and Facebook have already leveraged utility companies to get more renewable energy available in states like North Carolina, Iowa and Oregon.

Now, we need to ask other industry leaders, like Twitter, Pinterest, Tumblr and LinkedIn, to do the same for their future data centers. These tech leaders have the unique ability to make unprecedented impacts on our energy grid— and make serious progress toward protecting our climate. But they need to hear from you first.

Please join with me and take action today.

The Internet is how we connect, learn new things, and share what we love. But right now much of our Internet is also dirty, no matter how we use it.

Data centers are where Internet companies store our photos, messages, and music, and many are powered by coal and dirty energy sources that pollute our environment and harm our climate. The Internet's demand for energy is only growing bigger. In fact, if it were a country, its electricity use would already rank sixth in the world.

Facebook, Google and Apple have committed to power their corner of the Internet with renewable energy.

But other companies are still using coal and other dirty energy including some of our favorite social media companies like Twitter.

We're launching this campaign on Causes with an ask to Twitter CEO Dick Costolo to commit to a green Twitter by using clean energy for its data centers.

Take action for a greener Internet today! We need social media companies like Twitter and Pinterest to commit to 100 percent renewable energy and make a real impact on stopping climate change.

But for our request to stick and for other companies to follow, it's critical that their users — YOU! — demand this change.

Bumping up - please guys i know a lot of you may consider this worthless and is a waste of your time, but assure you it isn't - i have seen remarkable changes made to federal and state laws and even companies through the pressure we apply and the no nonsense approach to animal rights and justice happy

so please spear a couple of minutes to sign them - i spend alot of time finding them and posting them here for convenience sake for all of you... there are so many petitions above that need your signature - please help our fur/ scales and slime skinned friends
