Thanks EJay & Jackie. I've never been a big quiche eater, but my mum has two recipes that she loves. She's trying her hardest to eliminate eggs and dairy, but I had no idea on how to advise her on veganising quiches.
Name any meal and I bet we can come up with a vegan version
I don't find it hard anymore. It was a little difficult to start with, but got easier.
What about quiches? Anybody know how to veganise those?
There is such thing as cruelty free eggs ya know!
Other than that she could use mashed potato & make a savoury vegan pancake mix and pour through with the potato.. obviously it's not going to be exactly like an egg quiche but I think if she added all her usual ingredients (minus the egg) it could taste pretty good.
i find vegan easy but sometimes frustrating,
with food its not a problem to cook at home,
most resturants where i go are always really helpfull, and i find most indian and thai places have heaps of vegan/vego options.
the hardest part i think is FOOD COURTS.
i work at a shopping center its so annoying basically the only thing i can eat is sumo salad but the hygene levels there are foul so i tend to stay away.
The only other thing i find hard is a really miss cheese..i used to eat so much cheese it wasnt funny... the thought of meat discusts me and i will never eat it again, i wont eat cheese again but i still crave it.... just hope DAIYA cheese comes to aus one day soon...(google or facebook if you havnt heard of it..looks amazing!)
I don't find food courts that hard, but depends what shops you have near you.
I looooove sushi, so usually get that. Or napolitana pasta or sandwiches, focaccia, fruit salads, garden salads etc.
