I'm a vegan. I'm a dermatology nurse who works in a not-for-profit organisation. I love music. I listen to triple j. I love reading but don't do nearly enough. I enjoy watching art house films and documentaries. My clubbing days are well over and prefer having a BBQ with friends instead.
I have a adorable Weimaraner who I absolutely adore. I feel so lucky everyday to have such a kind hearted friend. One day I hope to adopt a less fortunate puppy playmate for him.
Unfortunately I am only a new veg. I have my dog to thank for that. He was my motivation to be vegetarian. Earthlings is what pushed me to be vegan soon after.
I get angry at my self for once being so ignorant and feel deeply saddened for all the animals that had to die for my owe greed.
However, I remind myself that that was the past me and I now think of all the animals I save each day by being vegan.
One day I hope to do more for animal welfare.
