Hi, Im a 19 y/o girl and in my second year of studying Animal and Veterinary Biosciences. I hope once i finish this course to continue my study by doing a post graduate degree of Animal Veterinary Science. So in other words I love animals!
I would however like to make one thing clear, I am not a vegan, nor am I a vegetarian. Plants obtain carbon and nitrogen from the atmoshphere and the earth. Animals eat the plants. We eat the animals (and sometimes the animals eat us) and then at the end of our lives our bodies decompose into the soil releasing these nutrients for the cycle to begin again. Dont get me wrong Im not critisizing any of you who are vegans/vegitarians and i congratulate you for standing up for what you believe in. I love animals, but I was born an omnivore and I wont feel bad for eating what my body requires.
I am totally against mistreatment of animals and negligant acts towards them that may place them in harms way. And I am hoping that in the future, as a veterinarian, I will be able to save the lives of many animals. And hopefully make this world a better place for them to live in.
