My name is Ron, and I am a highly conflicted omnivore. (HI, RON.)
In my spare time, but haven't had much time to do that since enrolling at Monroe Community College in beautiful (HAH!) Rochester, NY.
I enjoy watching B-movies of the sci-fi and horror variety. Just recently, I was involved with the Chris Seaver/Low Budget Pictures production, "Teen Ape vs. the Monster Nazi Apocalypse". I played a Nazi. I will be appearing in more films in the future. I hope that my stay with the Low Budget Pictures family will be a long one.
I also have a thing for musicals, because I am a very musical person. I play guitar, sing, and am generally enthusiastic about all sorts of music. The forerunners being heavy metal and classic rock.
I really enjoy reading. My favourite authors include Stephen King, Neil Gaiman, Ellen Hopkins, Michael Scott, and Kurt Vonnegut.

My reasons for going vegan are as follows:
A few months ago, I weighed in at 268 lbs. (121 kg.). I was fat, and unhappy. In the months that I've been vegan, I've managed to get my weight down to 220 lbs. (99 kg.). I'm still obviously overweight, but I've cut down, which is what I aimed to do.
Around the time I decided to go vegan, my friend, Cat (Vegan Freak), showed me the film, Earthlings. It disgusted me, and really opened my eyes to what was being done to appease the masses, and their desire for meat. Of course, this wasn't all I took away from the movie.
I also vowed to never buy animal-made products again. The same goes for anima-tested shampoos, soaps, deodorants, what have you.
I believe that it is important for we as humans to stand up for those in the world without a voice, and treat them as well as we would want to be treated. After all, one day, everything we know will be extinct, and I would think it important that all of Earth's creatures be treated with the same love, and respect we would want for ourselves.
