I joined this site to learn more about animal rights and what I can do to help the animals.

I am a vegan and therefore avoid, to the best of my ability, all products (foods, clothing, cosmetics, etc.) that come from an animal's body/skin or an animal's secretions, or (in the case of cosmetics) have been tested on animals. [I respect that others may have different ideas of how to live a vegan lifestyle and will 'draw the line' in a different place to me.]

However, for me, this does not seem enough - I feel like I should be doing more to help all those animals out there who are suffering needlessly at the hands of humankind and who are being murdered for no good reason.

I am a fan of Colleen Patrick-Goudreau (vegan author/speaker/chef/etc.) and my favourite saying of hers is:

"Don't do nothing because you can't do everything; do something; anything."

I am looking forward to some good debates within the chat forum.
