Hi, I am 30 years old and mother to my bubbly little 4 year old daughter

To be honest I am not strictly vegetarian, but I am extremely minimal with meat consumption.
If I do eat meat, it is usually fish or seafood.
I do not eat chicken or beef at all.
Occasionally I will eat lamb.
I choose meat that I know has been farmed ethically with respect for the animal. Factory farming deeply saddens me .
I eat eggs, but only from my own chooks or from a friend's chooks if my chickens are not laying.
Getting my diet right is a real juggling act!

It's finding that balance where we are not compromising our nourishment but also not taking the life of an animal for granted. Being a vegetarian means it's ultra-important to replace meat with the right combination of plant-based foods so that we can feel happy & healthy

And if we do eat meat at all, it is our moral obligation to only eat what we need, and from ethical sources. The amount of meat a lot of people is just excessive - we don't need to eat that much, if at all.
Anyway, I have always loved animals especially Australian wildlife. I am interested in wildlife rescue but would like to wait until my daughter is older before I make that commitment.
I keep chickens and I love giving them the life that all chickens ought to have - the freedom to peck & scratch around in the garden, have a dust-bath in the sun, flap their wings. Chickens are awesome and to know that there are millions of chickens in the world being kept in tiny cages makes me
So that's all about me for now, until I return!
