I read the book 'Eating Animals' after seeing Jonathan Safran Foer on Ellen and instantly went from vegetarian to vegan. I didn't realise how many people would have an opinion about MY choice and thought I would try and 'convert' them. People get defenseive as soon as I mention I'm vegan and it's hard trying to have a conversation about why I have chosen this without facing a barrage of uneducated and annoying questions/statements. I am hoping that I will find like minded people on this site who are committed to making a difference and not just talking about how bad everything is and then doing nothing.
