I have always adored animals, I absolutely love them to pieces!!
So it was only natural for me to want to stop eating them.

Other interests of mine include sustainability, nature, paganism, gardening, eco villages, animal sanctuaries, earth buildings & earth ships, consciousness raising, freedom and equality for all beings, herbalism, diy, reading constantly, and it goes on.

I sort of had an on again off again vegetarian diet as a teenager and I found living at home it was challenging to be fully vegetarian and in hindsight my nurtritional needs were far from being met.

So all up I was vegetarian for around 3- 4 years and then I became vegan around 6 years ago. Definitely the best decision I have ever made!

I didn't really know any other veg*ans at all and had no concept of eating nutritious wholefoods as a veggie in my teenage years. But that has changed after meeting the girls who inspired me to go vegan and subsequently many other vegans, alongside educating myself and stuff.

I'm so glad that I was told about the plight of dairy cows and hens which lead me on the path to veganism. Ultimately I want to do as little harm as possible to other beings and the earth however as a vegetarian I was unaware that I was still causing beings to suffer immensely.

It seems that the deeper issue threading through all the animal abuse industries is the consumer capitalist system we live under. It is causing great distress and destruction to the lives of the majority of beings and to the earth herself.

Not sure that I am a huge fan of AA & the likes because I believe in total freedom from exploitation rather than just welfare rights. However I suppose we all have slightly differing roles in ending of the unnecessary suffering of all beings.

Until all are free, none are free.
