I'm a vegan and I've been one for more than 4 years. I don't consume any animal products at all, wear fur, wool, leather, silk, or animal skins. I also don't go to zoos, circuses or take part in any form of animal entertanment.
There are so many benefits of being a vegan - for us, the environment, and animals especially. I've felt healthier and happier than ever since becoming vegan. I'd definitely recommend it to everyone.
Animal agriculture is the #1 cause of greenhouse gases in the world, animal products are the main cause of sicknesses and cancers in the world, and 10 billion animals are killed every year for food in the US alone. These are some of the reasons why I went vegan, and always will be one.
Animal cruelty goes unnoticed and ignored by the public. Hopefully one day soon, animal cruelty will be considered the way racism and sexism are considered today - that is, extremely unfavourably.
I love all animals and I believe we should treat them as equals.
