In an effort not to damage the 'pelt', animals killed for their fur often suffer a horrible death. Every year millions of minks, raccoons, foxes, rabbits and other animals are skinned alive, anally electocuted or drowned for their fur.
Our furry friends might soon be in for a big win. Israel could become the first country to completely ban fur. A vote on whether to ban the production, import and export of fur was due at the start of September, but one Minister is dragging his feet. The animals need you to show your support now more than ever!
The ban would be great news for dogs, cats, rabbits, minks, foxes, raccoons and other animals killed for their fur. ... Thank goodness! The reality behind fur is cold and ugly. Barren cages, overcrowding, no exercise, boredom and a brutal death are what's in store for animals in fur farms. And those trapped from the wild don't get it much better. They are often caught in bone breaking traps and can suffer for days in terrible pain and without food or water before someone comes to check the trap.
The animals need all the support they can get to achieve this important victory! The Israeli government is now coming under huge pressure from the fur industry to reject the proposed ban. Please help send a message to Israel that the world would warmly welcome their ban on fur.
