To test consumer products, rabbits are confined and have chemicals dripped into their sensitive eyes. They are left to languish for days, helpless to stop the burning. And rabbits make up only some of the millions of animals used to test consumer products every year. Help us to end this cruelty!
Did you know that in Australia there are laws against testing cosmetics and toiletries on animals because it's recognised as cruel and unnecessary? Great, huh? But here's the catch. There's nothing to stop a company testing on animals overseas and then selling those products to unsuspecting shoppers here. And that's exactly what many of the major companies do.
Companies like Colgate/Palmolive, Unilever (who own Dove, Rexona, Lynx, SunSilk, etc) and Procter and Gamble (who own Gilette, Pantene, Oral-B, Dawn, etc) burn, poison and kill millions of animals in other countries every year, and then they put these same cruel products on Aussie supermarket shelves!
It doesn't matter to a bunny whether she is given chemical burns in Australia, Austria or Argentina - the pain and suffering is the same! What's stopping these companies from making the switch from cruel to kind? Nothing! There are already plenty of great animal friendly products on the market. So there's just no need to be cruel.
Outraged? Good, 'cause the animals need your help! Help us urge Colgate/Palmolive, Unilever and Procter and Gamble to end their tests on animals.
