With every historical movement there is a group leading the charge -- the rally-goers, the protesters, the bra-burners ... the ones who speak out and make a change for the better.
One day, I'm going to write a blog that says factory farming in Australia is officially extinct. Truth. We are getting closer and closer to that day every day. And you can be part of it.
Thousands have already joined the movement to free hens from cages so small they can't stretch their wings ... to free pigs from stalls so small they can't even turn around ... and to end chickens being fattened so fast that they can't even stand up.
And flying the flag for this historical shift is one brave little pig:
I'm excited to tell you that this little pig will be flying across televisions in millions of homes across Australia. On her journey so far she has helped inspire everyone from huge supermarket chains to the little old lady down the street to take steps to help end factory farming.
Just imagine what she will achieve as she is seen by millions more people on their TV screens ...
Change is coming ... and being a part of it couldn't be easier. It's as simple as refusing factory farmed products, eating fewer animal products or going meat-free. How will you take a stand for animals today?

I just watched the video, and then the longer-version video it links to on the website - which made me cry. I thought including celebrities was well done, and it's a moving compilation.
Just one thought/question...
No longer eating meat/animal products is a clear action to take, and even cutting down on meat/animal products is quite a clear action to take. For both of these there is very good information available to assist (veg cookbooks etc). However I'm not sure that there is good consumer information about cutting out "factory farmed" animal products. What do you think?
Maybe going to farmers' markets and speaking to the farmers directly and seeing their photos is a good option. Maybe this kind of information can be linked, because I'm worried about what's been called the "free range fraud".
I have heard in the US there is an organisation called Farm Forward http://www.farmforward.com/ -- which JS Foer has been involved with. Is there something similar in Australia? And if so, perhaps the campaign can link to it as well.
Just my ideas. Thank you very much.

Getting the answers you need directly from the farmer is a good option. We also have resources available to help with understanding labels on chicken 'meat', egg and 'pork' products. You can find them here: http://makeitpossible.com.au/guides/chicken-meat-labels.php
Hope that helps. Thank you.
