Epic news for dolphins -- Japan's zoos & aquariums peak body will no longer get dolphins through Taiji's cruel drive hunt.
Here's how it happened: Organisations and individuals all over the world have been keeping the heat on Japan to end the annual dolphin hunt ...

Meanwhile, Australia for Dolphins strategically targeted WAZA (World Association of Zoos and Aquariums) to get their Japanese member (JAZA) to stop buying dolphins from the Taiji hunt. Selling dolphins to aquariums is where the big bucks come from for dolphin hunters ... before the gruesome slaughter for dolphin meat ensues.
Anyway, IT WORKED :D JAZA has agreed to no longer get dolphins for their aquariums from the Taiji hunt.

Australia for Dolphins says this win could decrease the demand for the Taiji hunt by up to 40%. Yew.
You can help keep the pressure up to end the hunt for good by writing to the Japanese Ambassador to Australia today.
Hopefully there'll be even more good news for dolphins soon!
