Hey guys, just wondering if anyone has travelled with Intrepid or their sister company Geckos? I'm wanting to travel to SE Asia next year by myself on a tour, followed by a week (possibly two weeks) of volunteering at the Elephant Nature Park (http://www.elephantnaturepark.org/). After that it'll probably be a few days exploring by myself and then back home.

I want to go on a tour, it'll be my first time overseas, and alone. I was originally going to go with Contiki but don't like the drinking reputation they have, and my friend who went to Asia with them this year said there's a lot of drinking, an well, I'm not a heavy drinker.
What I like about Intrepid and Geckos is that they focus more on the culture and sustainable travel, supports different charities. They're also the only tour group I've been able to find that does NOT include elephant rides and no longer supports them, which I respect a lot.
Thinking of doing this tour http://www.geckosadventures.com/south-east-asia/vietnam/indochina-all-stars-2015.

Has anyone travelled with them or know anyone who has?
And does anyone know how easy it is to get vego meals over there?
The only think worrying me is the food, I'm vegetarian, who eats a mainly vegan diet, so I'm hoping it'll be somewhat easy to find vego stuff  happy

A friend did Cambodia & Laos with Gecko and loved them. Asia has many Budhists who are vegan so you shouldn't find it hard to find vegan food there. Make sure to get all your vaccines before going. Their ideas around food hygiene isn't always the same as ours.
