how do you convince your dad to get a dog

I've been asking my dad for a dog for so long now but i sort of get why his saying no, its because two of our previous dogs have dyed.

but i really,really,really,really want a dog

please help

are you parents separated?
if so you could adopt a dog at your mums house.
if not, i don't know.
