Thanks for all your help in my transition Robert. Much appreciated!
l thought I was onto a winner with Grants toothpaste because theyre labeled not tested on animals.....then I got this from Peta
"Hi Susan,
Sure, happy to! The issue with labelling is that there are no definitive terms for companies in regards to branding a product cruelty-free. Because there are no legal definitions for products not tested on animals, it is possible that companies use them to their own ends.
It isn't always possible to tell if a company is 100% cruelty free just based on its labelling. Some companies may contract out tests on animals when vetting certain ingredients or products yet label its finished products as cruelty-free. It is possible that companies are using ingredients that have been tested on animals at some point, but if they haven't performed the tests themselves they can claim that "
Basically Peta said if a product is not on a cruelty free list it cant be 100% trusted.
I really have to do my homework and find out where to access these mostly obscure products. Ive never even heard of 99% of them
