When I was joining the Army I desperately wanted advice on what it's like being a vegetarian in there, but there was no where that supplied me with up to date information on the topic, I have just completed basic training and reached the dizzying height of private. I'm still new to the army, just a little diglet, but I am creating this forum to answer the questions I never could get answered when I was joining.

Hey bro! Thanks for putting this up. I was actually in the army years ago but wasn't vegetarian then and I'm now considering going back. I never really took any notice of any vego options back then so I've really got no idea what to expect. So just a few questions:

Vego rat packs? We're they easy enough to come across?

I was at pooks last time as I wasn't commissioned but this time I'd be going to RMC as I'd be going in as an officer. Which did you go to and was it easy or difficult to get good food? (I remember it being shit with little selection at pooks!)

And I suppose the last situation would be deployment, I was never deployed last time so I have no idea what to expect food wise there.

Thanks in advance if you can be bothered answering all these!
