Just this week, volunteers from Duo Duo traveled to Yulin, China to meet with animal advocates and bring back dogs rescued from the dog slaughter house. San Francisco's CBS local news covered the group's return to San Francisco with its adorable passengers in tow. The report highlighted the horrific trade in various parts of China, including Guangdong Province, California's newly minted "sister state." Check out the short video here:

If you haven't already, please sign our petition urging Governor Jerry Brown to put pressure on California's sister state, Guangdong Province, to end the dog and cat meat trade that is heavily centered in this region: see

2015 has been a remarkable year for us, and for the plight of dogs and cats in China. Duo Duo is already building its 2016 campaign against the Yulin dog meat festival, and continues to support activists on the ground in China who are fearlessly protesting the dog and cat meat trade, working with local shelters to house rescued animals, leading awareness campaigns, teaching animal kindness in local elementary schools, and advocating for improved animal welfare legislation. Your support keeps them going, and together we deliver a powerful message to people everywhere: we will not stop until this heinous practice is eliminated.
THANK YOU for your past and ongoing support. We couldn't do it without you.
