... DSW continues to sell shoes and accessories cruelly made with fur and angora wool, despite hearing from PETA about how animals are horrifically abused for both.
Animals used for fur often spend their entire lives confined to cramped, filthy wire cages, and fur farmers use the cheapest and cruelest killing methods available, including suffocation, electrocution, gassing, and poisoning.
Rabbits used for angora wool have it no better and scream in pain as they are stretched across boards and the fur is violently ripped out of their sensitive bodies. After this terrifying and painful ordeal, which the rabbits endure every three months to produce items such as the hats and socks sold by DSW, many of them appear to go into severe shock.
The world's largest clothing retailers, including Zappos, QVC, Gap, ASOS, H&M, Inditex, Calvin Klein, and Topshop, have dropped both fur and angora wool because their production is so unethical. But DSW doesn't seem to care.
