Veganism is obviously a great way to live and I know a lot of great answers to arguments made against the lifestyle. One always gets me however..... How do you sustain a vegan diet when you can't consume sugars and/or carbs?
It would be a lot of vegtables.... but there are barley any calories in them. You need fruits and nuts and legumes if you want to add mass AND have variety just for sanity sake.

Thanks guys

I think you need to check again what a vegan is.

I too am unable to eat carbs but wanting to make more ethical choices. This question is very relevant to me and very valid, thank you for asking and I hope we both find some answers.

Carbs? As in carbohydrates? Whole grains, vegetables, fruits and beans are all vegan. No problems there.
Do you mean gluten intolerance?

If this is your problem -http://www.drgangemi.com/health-topics/nutrition-and-supplements/carbintolerance/
I would suggest checking with your doctor then a nutritionist.
