hehe just look for the six foot fences, good security around sheds that are attached to feed silos, you can also smell the animals when you drive past cause of the sh*t everywhere inside the sheds... its not hard to spot them even in your own suburb once you know wat to look for. They are everywhere where i live, and I have Inghams processing plant just up the road. I hate it, I see the chicken trucks everyday and if the wind blows the right way the wind can smell like chicken soup or chicken sh*t depending on the day. How revolting.

I know where that place is... my Aunty worked there once >__> sigh.

There are a few buildings in my area where I often look at them at every angle to decide if they are or aren't. I've come to conclude they are as they are a 5min drive from the sales yards... sigh.

That's so horrid. I don't think I could live near anything like that without landing myself in prison.

I know I hate driving past "that" intersection, sometimes the hens heads are stuck in the wire cage system on the trucks and they cant move, and you can see heaps of dead chickens, its hard to make out one bird from another they are all just sort of jammed in there somehow. Its more than enraging, you feel powerless.
I saw a pork truck near beenleigh once and had to cry sad there was about a hundred on two tiers and you could see the faces of the pigs lying down if you drove parellel to the truck. That was the first time I saw factory farmed pigs with my own eyes. Other people were driving past like it was just nothing...

On my way down to Melbourne about a week ago, we stopped at a servo along the way and I was the first out of the bathroom so I went and sat near the car waiting for everyone else. I heard what I thought was goats or something, and then I could smell animals... turned around, truck jammed full of sheep, ready for the slaughter house. Then when we drove around to leave, sure enough there was the cattle truck.
Safe to say, that was not a good day for me. :p

woah. that's really shit.

btw, how can you tell the difference between a shed which houses animals and just a... idk... normal shed? sorry, i've only been through the country like maybe twice in my life.. so excuse my ignorance tongue
well, thats a good question, but i recognise the chook sheds cos i live near one, they're dark and have food thingos on the side, but theres probably so many different types.

Yeah they really are hard to be around. ):
Also about 2 years ago on a camp, coincidentally to Melbourne also, we had a quick toilet stop at a servo and whoever didn't wanna get out could stay on the bus... I stayed on the bus... Then a cattle truck pulled up right next to us.
Those trucks seem to like me for some reason!

All we can do is spread the awareness and hope for a better future. ):
