I was just curious what you guys use as substitutes for dairy and such. Here are mine:
, tofu, or any other equally good if not better food tongue

If you have any better substitutes, please share!
I'm pretty much the same:

Butter= Nuttelex
Milk = Rice milk
Honey = Maple syrup, Agave syrup, Molasses
Egg = Orgran's Egg Replacer in some baking
Meat = Mushrooms, Veggie Burgers, Beans

I have the Lamyong product catalogue (yes, a bit of a fan ashamed), which has a directory listing in the back. In QLD it looks like just restaurants (elsewhere you can buy it at some shops). It might be worth asking though. Seems they distribute to:

Aimee Angel Bubble Tea (Inala)
Citiwok Vegetarian Cuising (Elizabeth Arcade, Brisbane)
Kuan Yin (the Valley)
Magic Wok (Sunnybank)
Pu Kwong (Logan Rd, Underwood)
Tea Master (the Valley)
Tian Ran (Mermaid Beach).

I used to live in Brisneyland but have just moved to Adelaide, where I recently stocked up on Lamyong at "Great Nature Vegetarian Snacks" at Christie's Beach. happy

P.S. PLEASE post your tofu scramble recipe!! I've eaten so many great tofu scrambles but sadly none of them cooked by me! I need to change that...

Oh I am all for that! When you were in Brisbane did you ever try the scrambled tofu at Sassafras in Paddington? oooooh to die for. So far I've been unsuccessful at recreating it. I think I might have to email them and ask for the recipe! Although not sure if they would hand out their trade secrets...
