Have you heard the story about a bunch of grassroots groups who got mad and decided to band together to affect some change?

Well, we have partnered with our allies Plastic Bag Free Victoria, Beach Patrol, Sea Shepherd, Marine Mammal Foundation, Zero Waste Victoria and many others to form the "Plastic-free Victoria Alliance" (PVA).

We are seeking one or two members from each group to join the Facebook Group at https://www.facebook.com/groups/110047979673192/

The aim of the collaboration is to create collective action around campaigns to reduce plastic pollution in Victoria.

We have a few simple ideas - if we all collaborate we can amplify our voices and affect change. Groups are encouraged to be actively involved in the campaign direction, strategy and actions and to both participate in developing campaign strategies and action and implementing those actions. We are non-political but will actively support appropriate government action at local, state and federal level. We invite all kinds of 'groups', such as schools, businesses, churches, sports, clean-up groups - or anything in between.

So, if that's you - please join PVA and ask any other groups in your area that would like to see a reduction in plastic pollution in Victoria to also join.

Many thanks,

Annett Finger
